Tips for ring sizing
As ring sizes can vary person to person, it is recommended to measure ring size before ordering rings to ensure they will fit properly and avoid disappointment. Maddy Rowley Jewellery uses Australian standard for ring sizing. This is a letters based system.
Book a consultation at the studio
This is the most accurate way to find your ring size. Maddy is currently in the Northern Rivers - email to book a time in.
Visit your local jeweller
If location doesn’t allow - find a jeweller or jewellery retailer near you. They will have the equipment needed to accurately measure your ring size and are happy to help you for free.
Measure the internal diameter of a ring that already fits you
This is the most effective way to measure your ring size by yourself, place the ring on top of a ruler and measure from internal wall to wall (in millimetres!)
Use a ribbon to measure the circumference of your finger
Wrap a piece of ribbon, string or twine around your finger once and mark where the fabric overlaps itself. Remove it and measure the length of it against a ruler. Ensure you are able to fit the material over your knuckles.!! It is important to remember that these materials are quite flexible and forgiving in ways metal will not be, so take care to make sure you have the correct measurement. This is the hardest way to get an accurate measurement.
Use the conversion chart below
If you already know your ring size in other standards of measurement you can convert your ring size with this chart.
