Maddy Rowley is a curious maker who focuses on play and experimenting to create gender affirming jewellery. Obsessed with the alchemy and history of jewellery making, Maddy pairs precious metals with gems or engraving in order to symbolise stories and convey deep sentimentality. Maddy has an insatiable curiosity with natural textures, ironworks and ornate forms, some of which you will see reflected in the pieces.
Maddy is an Australian jeweller, trained at Enmore design tafe and has also worked as a bench jeweller for a Sydney company for 3 years progressing her technical ability. She has had pieces displayed in varying jewellery exhibits and also completed a jewellery residency in Oaxaca, Mexico in January 2025. Maddy was also based in Copenhagen, Denmark for a year to gather wider inspiration from historical objects, jewellery making and storytelling.
